Evaluation of the second year study programme of the Master

The first year of the Master was not challenging enough, this was not the case in the second year. Due to the interesting topic I had chosen to graduate on, the second year was challenging and very interesting. In the first two courses I completed a literature review. This literature review was needed to determine if travel time was previously researched in the context of mortality and how much is known about the determinant travel time. During these two months I further developed my skills to search literature and writing a comprehensive report. It was very difficult to find many articles about the topic, simply because research on travel time was scarce.

 

In the last ten months I had to perform research, data analyses, presentations and communicate with stakeholders, mentor and tutor. During these ten months I learned more than in the past four years. I learned that I could still improve on my presentation skills and become even more straight-to-the-point. During these months I was intensively guided by my tutor and mentor.

 

I think that the Master is a great preparation for promotion research and future work. Especially the ten month during Scientific Research Project.
