Evaluation
Evaluation of the course and assignmentsThis course is given parallel with the artificial intelligence course. It was clearly noticeable that there was a link between the two courses. However this was not exploited by the coordinators. That was a missed opportunity. It was a medical course and I am very interested in medicine. Several specialisms have been discussed in this course; all these specialisms tried to link their specialism to Medical Informatics. Only a few succeeded.
The workload of this course was much higher than the artificial intelligence course. We had to study a lot of information. I liked the assignment of this course. We had to create a flowchart for a disease or disorder which could be used by physicians as a decision support tool. My group had to create a flowchart of diagnosing epilepsy and it was difficult to determine were to start, but we succeeded. The exam was very difficult. It might be easier when all the lectures were posted on Blackboard, this was not the case. Except for this problem, I liked the course and I had the opportunity to refresh my knowledge about the nervous system.
