Evaluation
Evaluation of the course and assignmentsThis course ran parallel with the first course and the third course. This course had to make a connection between the medical oriented courses and the informatics oriented courses. This course was valued 4 ECTS and only scheduled on Thursday mornings, which was not 4 corresponding to the amount of work that had to be done in this course. Because of this students paid less attention to this course in order to pass the other two - parallel - courses. Deadlines of these three courses frequently coincide.
There were three themes (Policy & Financing, Hospital Information Systems and Classification & Coding) during the course, for each theme an assignment had to be completed and a week later all the acquired knowledge was examined. On all the three themes the student had to score at least a 5 to pass the course. Additionally; all assignments had to be sufficient. When not adhering to these conditions the student will fail the course. Searching on the Internet is an important part of an academic study. During this course we had to participate in a practical, which had some interesting topics. The second theme was a difficult theme, because a lot of facts had to be learned, while I am better in applying the knowledge in new situations. The third theme caused some problems and I had to redo the exam. Sometimes I paid less attention to this course, because passing the third course resulted in more ECTS.
